Este vorba despre o "colecţie" de singles la albumele solo ale lui Michael Jackson.

Perioada reprezentată aici este 1971 - 1979, epoca "Motown" (cu trei excepţii - MCA: "Ease On Down the Road", "You Can't Win" şi "A Brand New Day", toate din filmul "The Wiz" - dar, fiind vorba despre doar trei exemplare, le-am inclus aici), pentru că după aceasta intrăm în epoca "Epic" şi în perioada adultă a artistului. Şi aceleia îi va fi rezervată o altă parte.
